I made this card for the TLC244 challenge over on Splitcoast! I used the retiform technique however instead of using plain square sticky notes I cut out the maple leaf shape from the Glorious and Free SU set. You can also do this using your punches for all sorts of shapes, the possibilities are endless. It is a messy technique but it is great for making your own designer paper! Thanks for taking the time to look!

Recipe

  • Road Hawg from Totally Stampalicious!
  • basic black, brushed silver and real red card stock
  • glorious and free su set
  • real red and basic black ink
  • copics to color the main image

Stampalicious Monday!

This is one lucky Dawg let me tell you! I started off with a great idea and this looks nothing like my original plan!

I started with dp, switched to a tempting turquoise cs, tried adding some pink but it didn't go with my original image so I switched to the garden green. Just as I was getting ready to glue my image to the card I smudged it with ink that I had gotten on my fingers by trying to use a sponge for more than one color (aaaarrrrrrgggggggh, very frustrating). So I pulled out another stamp set and started over with a completely different image and once I stopped being so cheap and used a new sponge I was able to complete my card! Whew! This one took all day folks!

I made this for our Stampalicious Monday over on the Totally Stampalicious blog! Can you keep a secret? Shhhhhhhhh, come closer, (whisper) I don't think I can win this one! lol Of course I can't but you can so get on over there and post your creations! Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Sketchers #73

I finally got a chance to play again in the Friday Sketchers challenge! They always have great challenges and fantastic give aways! This week they have a card sketch and the prize is a $25 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp!
I made my card using my new Riley moose stamp from Hanna Stamps! Isn't he absolutely adorable. I used baja breeze cs, dp from walmart (my mom bought it for me), felt flurries for the snowflake and liquid applique for the snow around Riley!
Thanks for taking the time to look and don't forget to check out our Stampalicious Mondays as there is always something new and exciting happening! This week there is a $10 gift certificate up for grabs! See you there!

Back to the Basics 2!

While rummaging through my craft stash today, I came across these awesome little glitter guitars that I bought who knows how long with good intentions of using them right away. Since this week they are doing a Back to Basics on Paper Craft Planet using glitter and flock, I thought this would make an awesome glitter card! Now my new craft room is truly broken in as it is covered from one end to the next with glitter! Gotta love it!

Recipe:

  • Rockin' Frawg - Totally Stampalicious!
  • Glitter
  • Scor tape
  • oval nesties

Paper Craft Planet is doing a back to basics course. This week they are using glitter and flock. This course is great for both beginners and seasoned stampers. • Close to my heart - Ms. Holiday
  • choco chip ribbon
